Photo Specifications

Five photos are required for babies up to 5 years old. After the age of 5, the passport office takes photos and collects biometrics during verification. Photo specifications are:

Process for a Lost Passport

Minor or Child Passport

Ensure you have the following minor documents ready before submitting the application.

i	Application Form: A printout of the online application form, a submission, and an appointment letter.
ii	Birth Certificate (compulsory): Father & mother’s complete names on the minor’s birth certificate, same as their Passports & IDs.
iii	Parents’ Proof: ( Two Documents) Voter ID Aadhaar Card with QR Code Passport
iv	Address Proof: (One Document) Aadhaar Card/E-Aadhaar Passport Address Page of Parents
v	Qualification: ( One Document) School ID card or Mark Sheet 8th Pass Certificate Class 10th Admit Card and Mark Sheet
vi	Annexure -C for Single Parent or Annexure -D for Both Parents. If the divorce order mentions visitor rights for the baby as yes, Annexure D is required; if visitor rights for the baby are no, Annexure C is needed for the applicants
vii	Photos: The Applicant’s age up to 5 photos need 5 copies. The photo size is (4.5 X 3.5 cm).
viii	In the case of Annexure D, both parents must be present at the time of the appointment with their IDs.

DigiLocker Verify:

Treated Invalid Documents

DigiLocker will be accepted only if they were already shared at the time of online passport application submission.
DigiLocker Drive is treated as not authentic documents.
Printouts of Digilocker documents are not accepted.

Ongoing Court Case or Police Case

A. FIR Copy: Collect all your FIR copies from the police station.

B. Court Order: Original order from all concerned courts where the case is ongoing.

C. Undertaking: Passport office undertaking giving details of all court cases as per GSR 570 (E).

D. Other Documents: Other essential documents are identity, address, and qualification documents.

When passport documents were rejected

It is rejected, which means something was missing, incorrect, or didn’t meet the requirements

1. Application Form: Your application form was not correctly filled out, such as for a new, renewal, lost, or damaged application.

2. Application Documents: Your documents do not match the application information, such as name, address, parents’ names, or date of birth

3. Annexures: As per the application, you have not submitted the correct annexure, that is, Annexure A through Annexure J.

4. Smart ID Cards are not accepted. Smart ID Cards, such as Aadhaar, PAN Card, and Voter Card, printed on plastic cards by a private shop, are not accepted.

5. Digilocker documents are not fetched or printed out; copies are not acceptable.

6. No Objection Certificate: The government officer has not provided a proper No Objection Certificate.

7. Ongoing Court Cases: Applicant did not provide the original order copy for ongoing court cases.

8. ECR to Non-ECR: During passport office verification, convert to non-ECR documents not submitted.

9. Marital Status: In the application form, marital status was added, changed, or removed. But did not present the necessary documents.

10. Minor Documents: At Passport Seva Kendra, minor documents are not accepted. Because joint parents or single parents document the issue.
